See the Divinity

In every being;

But know that the Tigress

Must be of her tribe.

And if irresistibly drawn to her:

Place her not

In the trembling sight

Of your feebly drawn bow;

But toss diamond slippers

At her cutting claws,

And a lemniscate of roses

Onto her neck.

Then fall to your knees

And beg for a dance.

Better: be slain in devotion to her,

Than slain in your trembling fear.
